Website migration agency
Changing platform affects more than the design. Content, data, customer journeys and existing search visibility all need a place in the plan, with clear checks before and after launch.

Plan your website move around the content, features and search visibility that matter
A redirect map is important, but it is only part of a migration. The destination also needs the right content, working functionality and a technical setup that search engines can access.
The work behind a platform move
Resolve the requirements and dependencies before setting a launch date.
Record the starting position
Available search, traffic and enquiry data helps identify important pages and gives context for reviewing the move.
Review existing URLs
Combine available sources to identify old addresses and decide their destinations. Important pages may exist beyond the navigation visible today.
Check content and data transfer
Confirm which records can move, how fields map and what needs rebuilding. Reconcile imported data and inspect representative records.
Prepare redirects for launch
Changed URLs need suitable handling at the destination.
Check the wider technical setup
Review indexing controls, canonical URLs, internal links and measurement alongside the migrated content.
Review the site after the move
Monitor agreed indicators and investigate problems as the new site is processed and used.

All servicesDesign that looks like your business rather than a template someone else is also using. Built to load fast and to be found for the things people actually search for.
For when you need to edit everything yourself. Built on clean custom fields rather than a page builder, so it stays quick and does not fall apart on update day.
Online shops on Shopify, set up so the product data, the feeds and the analytics all agree with each other. No bespoke checkout, because you do not need one.
A static front end with the content held somewhere sensible behind it. Nothing to hack, nothing to slow down, and hosting that costs almost nothing to run.
Logos, brand marks, artwork and the bits that go around a site: social templates, printed pieces, photography direction. Useful whether or not we built the website.
Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, hosting and a set number of small changes each month. Optional, and you can leave whenever you like.

“Amply was fantastic at designing my website. They were helpful, quick to reply and very informative. I will definitely continue to use their services. Couldn’t recommend more.”
Holly WatsonFounder, Horizon Sports “Really happy with how our new website has turned out. We wanted something that looked professional, was easy for customers to use and showed off the work we do, and that's exactly what we've got. The whole process was really easy, and it was great having someone who understood what we were after and could bring our ideas to life. Would happily recommend!”

Chris BaronManaging Director, Silver Bullet Express “The team at Amply did a brilliant job at building my new website. I can't thank them enough, particularly Nigel and Josh who went the extra mile to make sure that the site looked nice and also brings us in work.”
Jordan MilmanDirector, F&F Drainage “We have used 2 or 3 larger agencies in the past.... All were a waste of money, Nigel has been very consistent and lovely to deal with.”

Reduce avoidable disruption during a migration
A platform move can change addresses, content and the way pages are delivered. Search performance may fluctuate while those changes are processed, even when the work has been carefully planned.
Decide what success will be measured against and who will investigate issues after launch. The migration scope should distinguish the website work from ongoing SEO, which is a separate service.

Questions about website migration
Will we lose rankings?
Rankings and traffic can change during a migration. Their movement and timing cannot be guaranteed, and a lasting change is not proof that redirects alone were mishandled. Plan, test and monitor the move carefully.
What if a page has no equivalent on the new site?
Consider whether there is a genuinely relevant replacement. If not, an appropriate not-found or gone response may be better than an unrelated redirect. Record the decision rather than sending all removed pages to the homepage.
Can you move the content without the design?
A platform move can aim to retain the existing design, but templates and functionality may still need rebuilding.
How long does it take?
Three to six weeks for most sites, more for large catalogues. The crawl and the mapping are the long part, not the build.
What about email and DNS?
Domain and DNS changes need to account for email and other services using the domain. . Do not assume that moving the website also means moving email.
Which platform should we move to?
Start with the reason for moving, then compare the requirements and full running costs. Test any essential functionality before choosing the destination.
