UX and UI design agency
People need to understand what to do, what has happened and how to recover when something goes wrong. Interface design should account for those moments as carefully as the main screen.

Design website journeys that make sense to the people using them
An empty result, an invalid form entry or a slow response is part of the experience. Resolving these states during design reduces uncertainty for the people using and building the interface.
What a UX and UI brief should cover
Connect the tasks people need to complete with the screens, content and feedback that support them.
Understand the user's task
Map the important journeys and the information needed at each step. Research and existing usage evidence can help test assumptions.
Consistent interface patterns
Reusable components can help related controls behave predictably.
States beyond the ideal example
Consider loading, empty results, validation and permissions, including how the interface explains a problem and helps someone continue.
Accessible design decisions
Contrast, control size and visible focus need attention in design. The implemented interface still requires evaluation.
Responsive behaviour
Specify how content and controls adapt across screen sizes, allowing for real text, zoom and different input methods.
Testing with relevant users
Choose research methods and participant numbers to suit the questions and risk. . No fixed sample finds every important issue.

All servicesDesign that looks like your business rather than a template someone else is also using. Built to load fast and to be found for the things people actually search for.
For when you need to edit everything yourself. Built on clean custom fields rather than a page builder, so it stays quick and does not fall apart on update day.
Online shops on Shopify, set up so the product data, the feeds and the analytics all agree with each other. No bespoke checkout, because you do not need one.
A static front end with the content held somewhere sensible behind it. Nothing to hack, nothing to slow down, and hosting that costs almost nothing to run.
Logos, brand marks, artwork and the bits that go around a site: social templates, printed pieces, photography direction. Useful whether or not we built the website.
Updates, backups, uptime monitoring, hosting and a set number of small changes each month. Optional, and you can leave whenever you like.

“Amply was fantastic at designing my website. They were helpful, quick to reply and very informative. I will definitely continue to use their services. Couldn’t recommend more.”
Holly WatsonFounder, Horizon Sports “Really happy with how our new website has turned out. We wanted something that looked professional, was easy for customers to use and showed off the work we do, and that's exactly what we've got. The whole process was really easy, and it was great having someone who understood what we were after and could bring our ideas to life. Would happily recommend!”

“A big thank you for my website design and delivery!!”
Chris BaronManaging Director, Silver Bullet Express “The team at Amply did a brilliant job at building my new website. I can't thank them enough, particularly Nigel and Josh who went the extra mile to make sure that the site looked nice and also brings us in work.”
Jordan MilmanDirector, F&F Drainage “We have used 2 or 3 larger agencies in the past.... All were a waste of money, Nigel has been very consistent and lovely to deal with.”

Give development a design it can interpret
Unspecified behaviour leaves decisions to be made during the build. A design handover should explain important interactions and how they respond to realistic content or unexpected situations.
The level of detail should match the project. . Useful documentation makes decisions easier to discuss and test.

Questions about UX and UI design
What is the difference between UX and UI here?
UX considers the overall experience of completing a task. UI focuses on the interface through which someone does it. They overlap, and the right scope depends on the problem being addressed.
Do you build what you design?
Usually, and it makes for a better handover. We are equally happy to hand a design system to your developers, which is why everything is built as components rather than flat screens.
Do we need user testing?
Testing can help uncover problems that a project team has overlooked. Choose the approach around the importance of the journey and the uncertainty to resolve, rather than relying on a universal participant count.
Can you work with our existing design system?
. Review the available components and identify gaps before deciding whether additions are needed.
What do we get at the end?
A Figma file with components, states and specs, plus whatever written decisions the build needs. Yours, in your workspace.
