Logo design agency
A logo needs to remain recognisable at different sizes and in different settings. Think about the browser tab, proposal, sign or uniform as well as the main website header.

A recognisable business logo designed for the places you need to use it
Fine details can disappear at small sizes, while a wide arrangement may not fit a social profile. Considering those uses early helps identify the versions the business will actually need.
What to consider in a logo project
The brief should connect the design direction with practical requirements for using the finished mark.
A brief with a clear purpose
Explain what the business offers, who it needs to reach and where the logo will appear. Include any existing recognition worth retaining.
Design directions in context
Assess concepts through relevant applications, so the decision considers everyday use as well as first impressions.
Checks at relevant sizes
Review small-scale use and different backgrounds. A logo that needs a simplified version should have that requirement identified early.
Appropriate arrangements
Horizontal, stacked or standalone elements may serve different uses.
Files suited to production
Web, print and specialist production may require different formats.
Clear usage guidance
Explain spacing, colour use and common mistakes so other people can reproduce the logo consistently.

“Amply was fantastic at designing my website. They were helpful, quick to reply and very informative. I will definitely continue to use their services. Couldn’t recommend more.”
Holly WatsonFounder, Horizon Sports “Really happy with how our new website has turned out. We wanted something that looked professional, was easy for customers to use and showed off the work we do, and that's exactly what we've got. The whole process was really easy, and it was great having someone who understood what we were after and could bring our ideas to life. Would happily recommend!”

Jordan MilmanDirector, F&F Drainage “We have used 2 or 3 larger agencies in the past.... All were a waste of money, Nigel has been very consistent and lovely to deal with.”

Judge the logo where it will be used
A logo is rarely seen in isolation. It sits beside contact details, competes with other content in a social feed or appears on materials made by different suppliers.
List those settings in the brief and assess the proposed design against them. The final handover should give you the appropriate assets and a clear understanding of how to use them.

Questions about logo design
Is a logo the same as a brand?
A logo is one part of a visual identity. Typography, colour, imagery and communication also influence how the business is recognised and understood.
How many revisions do I get?
Two rounds on the chosen direction, which is almost always enough when the brief was done properly. If it is not, that usually means the brief needs revisiting rather than the drawing.
Do I own it?
. Trade mark clearance or registration is a separate matter requiring appropriate specialist advice.
Can you redraw our existing logo?
. Improving the available files may be sufficient if the existing design remains suitable and you hold the necessary rights.
What file formats do I get?
Vector masters plus SVG, PNG and PDF, in full colour, one colour and reversed. Organised so you can send the right one without asking us.
