Emay Electrical
Project overview
Emay Electrical cover domestic and commercial electrical work, and the jobs arrive in two very different states of mind: a homeowner with something that has stopped working, and a business comparing contractors for planned work. The site had to serve the panic and the comparison without the first one making the second look amateur, and it had to do it on a phone held in one hand.

The challenge
The previous site was a single page with a contact form at the bottom and a gallery of photographs in the middle. Nothing distinguished an emergency callout from a full rewire, nothing said which areas were covered, and the certifications that matter to anybody hiring an electrician were a row of logos with no explanation. On a phone the number was not tappable, which for a trade where half the work is urgent is the only metric that counts.
Our approach
The number, tappable, everywhere
A call button fixed in view on a phone at every scroll position, because an electrical fault is not a job somebody fills in a form about.
Domestic and commercial split from the first screen
Two routes from the homepage, each with its own services, its own language and its own idea of what a good enquiry looks like.
Certifications explained, not just displayed
Each accreditation says in a line what it means for the customer, so the badges do the reassuring they were always supposed to do.

The results
Calls now come from the site rather than only from the van and the word of mouth, and the commercial enquiries arrive describing the job instead of asking whether Emay do that sort of work.
